ISTQB software tester certification is the most widely recognized, fastest-growing software tester certification in the world and recently announced that 100 000 Software Testing Professionals have now been ISTQB Certified. Because the certification is practical and focused on software testing knowledge and the skills testers need every day, many employers prefer to hire ISTQB certified software testers or have programmes that encourage their software testers to obtain the certification.
ISTQB offers different levels of certification

South African Software Testing Qualifications Board
The International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) is a non-profit organisation currently represented by 41 national boards worldwide.
In July this year Cornè Kruger (Managing Director of Impimpi Technologies) travelled to Bulgaria and formed the South African Software Testing Qualification Board (SASTQB) as one of the national boards of the ISTQB. The objective in doing this was to provide the ISTQB exams locally and to promote software testing as a professional career choice in South Africa.
